First Report 6/14: Surfers and surf enthusiasts from all over the globe come together in celebration of the great sport of surfing for International Surfing Day (ISD). In its seventh year, ISD is both to celebrate the sport of surfing, and to give something back to the oceans, waves and beaches that give us all so much.

This year Surf City Surf Shop and the Grand Strand chapter of Surfrider Foundation team up to offer a free surf clinic and beach sweep at one of the hottest surf spots along the Strand. Join Surf City and Surfrider at the shore break on 65th Ave North in Myrtle Beach on Saturday June 18th at 8 a.m. to learn and give back.

Can't make it out to the event? Then celebrate by taking advantage of the blue-green nonprofit Surfrider Foundation's special membership deal. Donate $25, and you'll get an International Surfing Day T-shirt, a bar of all natural surf wax, and a one-year subscription to SURFING Magazine.

Another cool little feature about this year's ISD event is it's being sponsored by Barefoot Wines. They are encouraging participants to shoot footage of this year's ISD events across the globe for a little video mashup. Check out the clip below for more details.
