James Island Connector 10K run, 5K walk is back November 6th (update: parking, route info)

The 12th Annual James Island Connector 10K Run and 5K Walk is back on Saturday, November 6, along with a few changes.

For starters the chip-timed race will now begin and end at Cannon Park and have an after party "to include beer," there will also be long sleeve shirts given out, and packet pickups at Whole Foods in Mount Pleasant.

Oh, and cash prizes for the top five male and female finishers, and top male and female "Master" and "Grand Master." The top prize will be $250, second place will win $150, third place will take home $100, while fourth and fifth place will receive $75 and $50 respectively.

Sign up by November 3 and it's $25 for runners and $20 for walkers, after that it's $30/ $25.

The run benefits the Gavalas Kolanko Foundation, a local charity that awards annual scholarships to students with physical disabilities at in the Lowcountry.
