Update 4/30/12: Unfortunately the 2012 Myrtle Beach Mud Run, scheduled for Saturday, May 12, has been cancelled.
According to the Myrtle Beach Race Series on Facebook:
We are sad to bring you this news regarding the 2012 Myrtle Beach Mud Run. An unforeseen change in circumstances that has left us with no alternative but to cancel this event. While the participant numbers are up over last year and we are certain that we would have surpassed our fundraising goal, there are certain elements that are no longer available for our use. First report: The inaugural event this year hosted over 600 runners in the adult race and raised $7000 for the Grand Strand Humane Society.
According to their Facebook page and web site, they have scheduled the 2012 race to be May 12 of next year. Registration for next year's event will be open in the winter. Event organizers are seeking feedback from the 2011 runners to be considered while they plan next year's event.
