A run before the big dinner at Charleston's Turkey Day Run (Update: Results, record)

Update November 26: This year set another record, 6,052 entrants.
AJ Fitzsimmons, 20, of Mount Pleasant won this year's run at 15:04. And Lauren Goss, 23, of Mount Pleasant was the top female finisher at 17:01.

First reporting: Downtown Charleston's ever popular Turkey Day Run is back Thursday, November 24, at 9 a.m.
And this bird run weighs in at the 29th most populous in the nation, and the biggest 5K in South Carolina — in 2010 the race had a record 5,888 registrants.
