Cougars and Bulldogs advance in SoCon Tournament

Both the College of Charleston and The Citadel came away with victories on the first day of play in the 2010 Southern Conference Tournament that took place at the Joseph P. Riley Jr., Stadium yesterday.

The College of Charleston Cougars came out on top of Appalachian State in an eleven-inning game with a final score of 12-11. The Cougars are set to face Western Carolina tonight at 9 p.m.

The No. 1 ranked Citadel Bulldogs won their game versus Furman on Wednesday night in the opening round of the Southern Conference Tournament by a score of 9-5. The Bulldogs will take on Elon today in a 5 p.m. match-up.
