Update January 18: Well folks, race day is almost here, and that means so are the inevitable traffic jams.
Beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, East Bay Street, Murray Boulevard, and King Street (up to the extension) will be closed until around 9:30 a.m. After 9:30 a.m., most runners will be well on their way to the finish line 26 miles away. North Charleston residents, look out for plenty of delays on Saturday as well as a majority of the race takes place in your neck of the woods.
Here's a look at the race route aka roads for non-runners to avoid.
