Stingrays host Royals, Nailers in opening weekend play

The South Carolina Stingrays kick off their 19th season of Lowcountry hockey against the Reading Royals on Friday and the Wheeling Nailers on Saturday at the North Charleston Coliseum.

On opening night versus the Royals, the Stingrays will induct former defenseman Nate Kiser into the Stingrays Hall of Fame and the first 5,000 fans will receive a Stingrays magnet schedule courtesy of Comcast. Friday night is also free parking for all fans.

On Saturday, the Stingrays will celebrate Alumni Weekend and Military Appreciation Night presented by Force Protection against the Wheeling Nailers. The first-ever Alumni Game features former Stingrays players from throughout the team’s 19-year history including greats Dave Seitz, Bret Marietti, Rob Concannon, Nate Kiser and more!

Tickets to both regular season games and the Alumni Game are available online or by calling the Stingrays Office at (843) 744-2248. Proceeds from the tickets sold for the Alumni game will go to charity.
