Events and a parade for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

First reporting: Church services, choir recitals, gatherings, and parades: There's a number of ways you can celebrate the memory and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 19, at Johnson Hagood Stadium. The Post and Courier says it will be televised by NBC News 2 and a "Youth Speak-Out" will be held at Charleston Progressive School after the parade ends. Call (843) 722-1644 for details.
