A feast of revival, celebrating foods from our past

Taste the revived ancestral peanut of the South, southern chestnut cookery and the benne and rice cookery of the Lowcountry. Reserve a seat at the April 16 Rice Kitchen Dinner at the Old Village Post House in Mount Pleasant. Forrest Parker is the chef. The dinner will help support the work of the Clemson University organic experimental farm managed Dr. Brian Ward. Ward is the plant scientist who works with David Shields and Glenn Roberts  to revive legendary lost tastes of the region— Sea Island flint corn, Huguenot Red Rice and Carolina African Runner Peanut.  http://www.mavericksouthernkitchens.com/oldvillageposthouse/news/event.html?id=238
