The urban chicken finds a home in the Charleston metro

Though you'd think keeping chickens was illegal in all of the Charleston area, that's not the case.
Sure, it's a practice effectively prohibited in many incorporated parts of the metro area, but the urban chicken hasn't been completely blocked from, well, roosting in Charleston.
The Post and Courier caught up with several local afficionados of the truly locavore practice and has a nice primer on the rules.
