The James Beard Foundation announced the semifinalists for the 2013 Restaurant and Chef Awards today and some top Charleston-based culinarians have made the cut.

And the semifinalists are:

• Best New Restaurant: The Ordinary
• Outstand Chef: Sean Brock - McCrady's
• Best Chef, Southeast: Joshua Keeler - Two Boroughs Larder, Craig Deihl - Cypress and Jeremiah Bacon - The Macintosh
• Outstand Wine Program - Charleston Grill

Update March 18: The James Beard Award Finalists have been announced and two Charleston chefs are still in the running to take home the top culinary prize.

Sean Brock of McCrady's is a finalist in the "Outstand Chef" category while Mike Lata's The Ordinary is up for "Best New Restaurant."
