Update May 25:

The South Carolina Highway Patrol, in an effort to encourage drivers to wear their seatbelts, especially during the "100 Deadliest Days of Summer' between Memorial Day and Labor Day are bringing back the Clickin' For Chicken promotion.

Starting this weekend, if you're pulled over for a traffic violation, but are wearing a seat belt you'll become the proud owner of Chik-Fil-A coupon redeemable for a free Spicy Chicken sandwich. If you're caught without a belt on you'll get stuck with a $25 fine.

First reporting:

From now until January 1st, local S.C. Highway Patrol troopers will be giving out coupons for free chicken sandwiches from Chick-fil-A to drivers who are wearing seat belts.

If you get pulled over for speeding, you'll still get stuck with a ticket, but at least you'll be able to eat away your sorrows.

The Post and Courier has the story.
