Located on Savannah Highway in West Ashley, in the Book Exchange's old building, the Glass Onion is a new restaurant option for Charlestonians, with a focus on Southern food made by Southerners. Besides being a great Beatles reference, the restaurant offers moderate prices on lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, as well as a Saturday brunch. Here's what Charleston City Paper had to say:

It's always a treat to find a new restaurant that under-promises and over-delivers. The Glass Onion on Savannah Highway is just that sort of place. The proprietors describe their offering as "midscale comfort food" and "soulful food." I would describe it as good, honest cooking. And that's something this town needs more of.
