Leaf Café revives Beaufain Street's outdoor dining scene (Update: Indoors, too?)

Since replacing Vickery's on Beuafain Street, Leaf Café and Bar's food and atmosphere have been receiving quite the buzz.

The space has really come together since the grand opening back in April, and the outdoor patio seating is a rare gem here in Charleston. The food has also improved drastically in the first month since opening, and the service is on point.

If you're looking for a laid back, casual spot to grab some drinks, watch a game or two, and get down on some tasty sandwiches, Leaf should be your new go-to. With an expansive wrap-around bar, indoor and outdoor seating, floor to ceiling windows and doors, and lots of available parking, Leaf has the makings of a summertime hot spot.

The Charleston City Paper has a piece on Leaf which highlights the restaurant's atmosphere and some of their best menu items; read it here. Dining Around Charleston has an additional review that dates back to April 13th. While the review is less positive than the Charleston City Paper's, it does offer up photographs of a handful of menu items.

To try it for yourself, visit Leaf Café at 15 Beaufain Street.

Update December 30: In a glowing review of Leaf Cafe's food and vibe, Patricia Agnew offers more than kind words for Leaf's interior, in part:

The main dining room is virtually unrecognizable from its Vickery’s days, with towering ivory-curtained doors that sweep from light wood floors to dark ceilings.

Take a read over here.
