Update 8/7/12: With renovations complete, Peaches Corner is throwing a 75th anniversary bash and everyone is invited.
According to this WPDE story, the event will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from noon to 3 p.m. As more details become available, we'll keep you updated.
Update 1/25/12: The Peaches Corner face lift is well underway, the outside renovation is complete.

First Report 1/10/12: It's so common to see restaurants come and go in the Grand Strand that there is reason for celebration when a dining institution takes on considerable renovation to prepare for longer tourist seasons and more customers.
Peach's Corner, open since the 1930's, is spending some time this winter to spiffy up and celebrate their 75th anniversary. Included in the work is a giant, spinning peach that will sit atop their Ocean Boulevard building. You can see the full write-up and photos in this Sun News article.
