Gershwin at Folly, the all time best-selling production in Charleston Stage history, returns for an encore production. This original full-scale musical, written by Charleston playwright Julian Wiles, tells the story of George Gershwin's 1934 vacation on Folly Beach when he and DuBose Heyward began work on Porgy and Bess. Gershwin at Folly, with its tap-dancing singers and live orchestra, features scores of Gershwin favorites, including: "I Got Rhythm", "Someone to Watch Over Me", "S'Marvelous", and of course the immortal "Summertime".
