Now that you've got a that shiny new (iPod/TV/computer) don't throw your old one in the trash. Charleston County’s Solid Waste and Recycling Department staff reminded us by e-mail that not only does your old technology contain precious metals that should be saved, but they can do significant damage to the environment as toxic metals and chemicals leach into the environment (lead, anyone?).
