Backpack Buddies provides necessities for the children in different communities around Horry County.

In March 2004, Barb Mains established a non-profit organization called Help4Kids.  Backpack Buddies, a part of that program, helps the working poor in Horry County by providing backpacks, clothing, school supplies, and weekend meals for children. Their motto is: “Hunger doesn't take the weekend off, neither do our volunteers!”

To learn more about their mission and needs, visit their site.  There you can also learn how to donate.  To stay connected with the latest from Help4Kids/Backpack Buddies you can like them on Facebook

They are located at 12053 B Highway South Bypass 17 in Garden City.  You can call (843) 651-4310 with any questions.
