Local Author Walking the Natchez Trace to Publicize New Book

Local Charleston author Andra Watkins is celebrating the publication of her first book, To Live Forever - An Afterlife Journey of Meriwether Lewis, by walking the entire 444 mile length of the historic Natchez Trace trail from Natchez, Mississippi to Nasheville, Tennessee. This walk will take her the entire month of March and into April.

Why the Natchez Trace? Well in her book, "explorer Meriwether Lewis has been stuck in Nowhere since his mysterious death nearly two centuries ago. His last hope for redemption is helping nine-year-old Emmaline Cagney flee her madame mother in New Orleans and find her father in Nashville. To get there, Merry must cross his own grave along the Natchez Trace, where he duels the corrupt Judge, an old foe who has his own despicable plans for Em."

To publicize the book, Andra and her publisher are also running a contest on her website to win an trip to Charleston including airfare, accomodations, dining, and a tour. More on that can be found on her site at http://www.AndraWatkins.com
