Hard Rock Park suffering

$400 million Hard Rock Park has had a rough time of it since opening, and The Post and Courier is speculating that its problems may be due to location as much as timing. An excerpt:
While Hard Rock is still trying to find its groove, industry watchers question whether a major theme park can rock on in the thrifty, family-friendly environs of Myrtle Beach — a place with a $3 pancake house on every corner, 100 golf courses and the beach at the end of every street.

All-in-all the paper does a good job or rounding up the parks problems and its ailments.

On the upside? Short lines for its roller coasters and features, and discounts for us South Carolinians to $39 on Saturday's and Sunday's. They also have a variety of other discounts.
