King Street gets a new retail store; Music Farm gets a box office
King Street is gaining a new spot to buy music merch, and the Music Farm is finally gaining a retail outlet.
The George Street Observer writes about the new place: Merch Underground:
You'll be able to shop for incoming band merchandise about two weeks before their show. Retail only makes up half of the business model. The other half of Merch Underground is production and distribution. T-shirts and other merchandise will be stacked to the ceiling, waiting to be shipped out.
Just when we thought we were the first to know, the College of Charleston's student newspaper burns all of us "professional" media with the first write-up.
Look for the store at 499 King Street to open later this month.
