Update February 5th, 2013: The Sun News has an update on the proposed Asian Wonderland.

Developers are still at work to find a home and financing for the project, so the hope of a May 2013 opening is sorta out the window.

Update October 26, 2012: GL Enterprise, Inc., the company behind the Asian Wonderland attraction might not have a place to put it.

The company wanted to call the old Myrtle Square Mall location home, but the offer of $1.5 million upfront for a two-year lease of the space wasn't enough to sway land owners Burroughs & Chapin.

GL Enterprise, Inc has fall back location off of 29th Avenue, hop on over to WPDE News for all the details

First Report: While the details have not been finalized, an Asian Wonder Land attraction is likely to open at the start of the 2013 tourist season and there's word it will be on the grounds of the old Myrtle Square Mall, across from the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

The attraction will house a combination of permanent buildings and tents and feature lanterns.  It's purpose is the showcase Asian culture through food, music, decor, and performances.
