We all know things are getting more expensive, so NBC News 2 went around to see how much a "standard" shopping list would cost at various stores.
By my count, there was an average 4.4% increase at local stores from August to November of this year. But, the good news is that prices should drop in early 2009 as the falling prices of gas and corn trickles down to shelves.
