This is what happens when a German company sets up shop in Dorchester County: You wind up with a 40,000-square-foot facility, 1,600-square-foot sun-tracking dual-axis solar panel, and an unveiling exhibition on renewable energy with bratwurst, wine, and German beer.

The company, IMO USA, recently opened in the county and has installed several demonstration products including five solar-powered LED street lamps and the massive dual-axis solar tracker that, as The Post and Courier points out is larger than many homes.

The paper has a nice write-up about the company and what they're up to, and for details on the event check out this press release.
