Celebrity Cruises plans to up its presence in Charleston by offering Caribbean cruises from our port beginning in February of next year.

Cruise ships and their tourists are a small fraction of Charleston’s tourist economy — but as you’d expect, they’re an important fraction as they’re usually first-time visitors.

And it’s those first-timers that are more likely to visit the Yorktown, Fort Sumter, and take carriage rides.
