Charleston airport not alone in quiet Thanksgiving travel

There was some concern as to why this Thanksgiving weekend is unusually quiet at the Charleston International Airport.
But Charleston isn't alone — while travel for the turkey day holiday is estimated to be up 4% across the country (as compared to last year) airport travel was expected to be 2% lower.
Still, the concern is understandable locally as the airport has been booming.
