After 15 years, Johns Island furniture store calls it quits

After some 15 years, slowed business from a bad economy has finally done in Joe and Claire Kayal's The Furniture Gallery on Johns Island.
The Post and Courier has the tale -- it's basically what you'd expect a story about slow business to be, but it's written well and you really empathize with the owners and their laid off staff.
The business's liquidation sale starts today at 10 a.m. The Furniture Gallery is located at 3714 Betsy Kerrison Parkway on Johns Island.
