Is the 'Largest commercial development in State's history' back?

With some 3.6 million square feet of retail, office, and residential space are planned for 1,800 acres of the "Ingleside Plantation", the development plan was a bit of bombshell of economic development news in late 2008.

And then the "great recession" took hold and that was the last most anyone heard about the North Charleston plan triple the size of Centre Pointe Development.

Now feelers are coming back out for the plan with developers and North Charleston City Council discussing zoning and other development details for the land; I'll point you to ABC News 4's report.

When announced in 2008 the plan was a joint venture between The Weiser Companies and Weber USA. The Weiser Companies was a force behind the massive retail area that is the Centre Point Development (think the Tanger Outlets, Wal-Mart, Sams), while Weber USA has a manufacturing background.
