The town of Mount Pleasant may consider building a creative cluster incubator much like the Flagship of the Charleston Digital Corridor.

As of this moment it is just a creative idea to add jobs, but the plan will go before the Mount Pleasant Economic Development Committee the first week of February. If the idea sparks the committee's interests, it would make a recommendation to the Town Council.

To get the ball rolling, the town has applied for a community development block grant of $100,000 under the Entitled Communities program that it hopes to use as seed money.
