Myrtle Beach economic development group plans strategy

Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation is sticking to their promise to make a sincere effort to bring jobs to Horry County.

Working with a 5 year funding plan from Horry County and a performance based contract with the new CEO, Brad Lofton, the Board of Directors have put together a plan to attract new business to Horry County. This includes targeting technology, aviation, and marine industries with aggressive incentives for bringing in high wage and benefitted jobs. It is expected this effort will help with getting the MBiTAP project up and running even faster. The Sun News has more details on this plan including more specifics about the incentive packages.
