Port of Charleston container volume continues to grow, high hopes for 2011

With numbers up 14.4% for the month of November, container volume at the Port of Charleston has recorded growth for the 11th straight month.

The Charleston Regional Business Journal also reports that for 2010, container volume is up a total of 17.5%.

2011 is looking to be an even stronger year for the Port as the state clears the new 100,000-pound overweight permit for containerized freight and the Port shifts roll-on/roll-off operations to its Columbus Street Terminal.
