Rash of counterfeit bills snag downtown bars

A rash of fake -- and not particularly well done -- counterfeit bills have short changed a number of Charleston bars and raised fears.

Also, there's a number of security features you can quickly and easily look for to make sure you're not getting scammed. Here's a nice article that has many good tips.
And as The Post and Courier points out, if the ink bleeds when the bill gets wet, it's a sign the fake money isn't even a very good fake.
