When police went to investigate a Johns Island shooting they also found nine illegal gambling machines.

Around 11:30 Friday night someone shot Keith Gadsden, 48, outside his home near Old Pond Road.

Gadsden doesn't appear to have been charged yet, but could be charged with owning and operating illegal gambling machines.
