It appears at the time that none of the shootings are related.

The first wave of gun violence took place in James Island neighborhood, leaving four men wounded. The violence then carried on with shootings in North Charleston and West Ashley. All investigations into the shoots are still unsolved.

According to The Post and Courier's report, in West Ashley, Carl Choice, 19, and Gene Mitchell, 25 were standing in front of 3802 Ashley Shores Drive at 1:40 a.m. on Thursday when both heard shots fired and felt pain. Choice had taken a bullet to the thigh and Mitchell to the backside. A third victim, 34-year-old William Thompson, reported being shot while he was smoking a cigarette in front of 2802 Ashley Shores Drive.

The most recent shooting took place around 10:45 a.m. Thursday when 19-year-old Benjamin Smalls was wounded by drive-by gunfire in North Charleston.
