Gas station clerk fired after robbery

Gas station clerk Reynolds Reeves says he was fired from the Kangaroo station in Mount Pleasant after a robbery there last week. According to Reeves, he was told that he had left too much cash in the till.

From The Post and Courier:

Company policy is to have no more than $50 in a register, Reeves said. The robbers made away with $300 from two registers, he said.

"There were no big bills, only small bills," Reeves said. "It's hard with it being tourist season and being a busy store at night."

Reeves, 25, had worked at the station at 1402 Ben Sawyer Blvd. for nearly a year and had recently been promoted to assistant manager, he said.
