Man attacks former boss with crowbar

Police have arrested Michael P. Fitzpatrick, 60, for attacking his former employer with a crowbar at a North Charleston auto shop this morning.

Fitzpatrick has been charged wtih second-degree assault, second-degree burglary, and attempted robbery.

The incident began at approximately 7 a.m. this morning, when officers responded to an alarm at Parks Auto Parts. The store manager reported that while he was inside the store, Fitzpatrick attacked him with a crowbar. After a struggle, the victim was able to get away and alert police.

The victim was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
