North Charleston brothel uncovered; four arrested

A North Charleston brothel was uncovered by police, leading to the arrest of four people involved.

The brothel was discovered through a website advertising adult services (www.backpage.com), and the North Charleston Police Department SPEED team took charge of the sting by contacting the site and then meeting with two women, Lillian Ruth Thompson and Brandon Elizabeth Bradford. Thompson and Bradford were arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution.

As the women were being arrested, one of them alerted officers that a man and his girlfriend would be swinging by to collect money...so, of course, the cops stuck around, which led to the arrest of Kevin Earl Baker and Christy Nicole Gruber, who are charged with possession of marijuana and maintaining a brothel.

Never a dull day in Charleston.
