Last month, an 86-year-old woman in hospice was raped. Now her family is suing the Hospice Center in Mount Pleasant at 676 Wando Park Boulevard.

The rapist, Calvin Williams, 54, apparently gained access into the hospice through an unlocked door during the morning of February 12th. Mount Pleasant police report states that Williams walked into the victim's room and sexually assaulted her.

The woman's family is suing on the belief that the hospice didn't provide a reasonable amount of security, which could have prevented the woman's rape.

Williams has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and first-degree burglarly. He is being held without bail.
