Battery defeat Cleveland 2-0 to remain undefeated

The Charleston Battery knocked off the Cleveland City Stars with ease, taking the game 2-0 in front of 3,920 fans at Blackbaud Stadium on Saturday, May 30.

Read more stories on this subject in our Charleston Battery topic page.Despite missing four of their starting players, The Battery's two goals could not be matched by the Cleveland City Stars who only managed five shots on goal the whole night.

With the win, Charleston (5-0-4) is behind only the Carolina RailHawks (7-2-1). The Battery will play again in Austin on June 5th and 7th, but will return home to take on the Portland Timbers on Saturday, June 13.
