With the progression of the homebrew and craft beer movement, beer's popularity has continued to grow along the Grand Strand as well as the demand for more beer options.

One of the preferred methods of purchasing beer amongst enthusiasts is the growler. Growlers are typically reusable glass jugs that come in 32 or 64 ounce sizes. Beer is poured into them straight from the keg. The containers are environmentally friendly and usually it's the cheapest way to get your hands on some tasty brew that isn't available in a bottle.

The Beerman at the Weekly Surge recently discovered that Green's Beverage has installed a growler station. He writes about his experience as well as what other places on the Strand you can get your growler filled. Read more here.
