Odds getting better that oil from Gulf spill won't reach East Coast

Despite early fears that oil spewing from the Deepwater Horizon drill site would enter a chain of ocean currents and be pushed to East Coast beaches, it's now looking less likely as the oil appears to not have entered the Loop Current.
