Today is National HIV Testing Day and free testing is being offered throughout the country and region. For the most current locations call (800) 322-AIDS (2437). A list of scheduled locations is below:

Free HIV testing is offered today at:
- Downtown near MUSC 3 Charleston Center Drive
- Downtown on Columbus Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Trident Technical College Palmer Campus (provided by Lowcountry AIDS Services).
- North Charleston near Cosgrove from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 3547 Meeting Street Road (provided by Lowcountry AIDS Services).
- Northwoods Clinic
- St. Stephens at IGA.

According to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services an estimated 250,000 people in the U.S. have HIV and are not aware of it.
