If you're planning on doing anything outdoors, try and put it off until Thursday as blistering heat and high humidity will likely reign supreme today, tomorrow, and much of the foreseeable future.

Temperatures will only be in the mid-90s, but paired with the high humidity will result a heat index around 108 degrees. Thunderstorm activity is also expected to develop this evening.

The National Weather Service says:
High temperatures in the lower to middle 90s will combine with high relative humidity and result in heat index values of 104 to 108 degrees this afternoon. The highest heat indices are expected to occur roughly along and east of Highway 17. This includes the communities of Beaufort...Hilton Head...Ravenel...Hollywood...West Ashley...Mount Pleasant...Daniel Island and the downtown Charleston area.

The conditions are expected to continue through the week with a bit of reprieve on Thursday, where highs are expected to be in the high 80s.
