It may have been wet and cold, but Ida's rain was good for South Carolina

The rain from Ida may have ruined more than a few of our collective days, but with South Carolina's chronic droughts in recent years it's hard to be too mad that the rain came.

To that effect, The State has put together a nice a piece about the impact of the rain and gives an idea of where South Carolina now stand.

Side note: I remember 2003 as a particularly wet year ... I guess that makes sense as we got 56 inches of rain -- compare that to just 31 inches in 2007.
