Pygmy sperm whale washes up on Folly

According to NOAA's National Ocean Service a pygmy sperm whale was found washed up on Folly Beach around 6:30 this morning.

The whale was some 10-feet long and weighed around 800 pounds. No word on why yet, but The Post and Courier has some speculation.
