Sewer work affecting #MYR traffic

TheDigitelMYR

For a little over a year the City of Myrtle Beach has been working on the sewer lines that run under the median of Bypass 17.

Work is now near 79th Avenue North and while most of the work is done over night, some of the nights work could affect early to mid-morning traffic. The work closes both the north and south bound center lanes of the Bypass in that area from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.

The good news is that this phase of the sewer line replacement is ahead of schedule and should be wrapped up by summer. Hop on over to WMBF News for their full write-up, complete with video.

Perhaps this work will finally take care of that oh so familiar smell in that area of the bypass.
