Tropical Storm Bill looks to build speed, strength

Image by National Weather ServiceImage by 20090816-ts-bil.jpg As always, checking out Bill's forecasted paths remain a good way to understand what's behind the National Weather Service's map.

While Tropical Storm Ana's "cone of uncertantity" has continued to shift more southernly towards the Caribbean, Tropical Storm Bill's cone has continued to shift upwards over more open water where the 40 MPH storm is expected to reach hurricane strength by Monday evening.

Withn five days, forecast models suggest that Bill's emerging west-northwest path could turn the storm more Northwest -- if that trend continues, the storm could turn out of our path.

As usual, we'll keep you posted.
