Charleston's tourist are spending less and sleeping at hotels less, and that means Charleston County's accommodation tax coffers are drying up.
Money from the multi-million dollar fund goes to fund all sorts of cultural programs, festivals, and services like the MOJA Arts Festival, Charleston County Parks, and even The Citadel's new stadium.
And tonight County Council will meet to decide just how much funding it can give out this year, and it doesn't look good for many programs -- especially when you combine this blow with already reduced giving from donors.
