After hoping (and spending) for years, South Carolina isĀ optimisticĀ that next week will be part of its climb to hydrogen fame.

What's happening next week? Some 1,000 people are coming to Columbia for the the National Hydrogen Association Expo & Conference in Columbia.

Addressing those points, The State newspaper offers up two articles:
One, an article about the conference and the state's hopes.
Two, an article about the current state of hydrogen technology, and how cars are not yet the best use.

Update March 30: Today South Carolina's first hydrogen stations were announced.
