Update August 24: County Council has approved the measure to go to the voters on the November ballot.
The Post and Courier has a brief on the news.
So remember that if you vote this election season and live in Berkeley County, there could be a beer in future.
First reporting July 27: In a move that would make the rural county a bit more like Charleston and Dorchester counties, Berkeley County Council gave a Sunday alcohol referendum approval on second reading.
ABC News 4 has some details about the vote; read that here.
If the effort passes a third reading, the change will go on the November ballot for voter endorsement.
